Digital transformation is not an abstract paradigm nor is it “a new kid on the block”. It is a continuous push, often backed by hard work in all IT technology areas with a goal to further leverage a company’s processes. The difference is only in the unprecedented upscaling of computing resources provided by modern IT technologies that we have at our disposal.
It is as simple as that, but if you add a philosophy layer on top of that and sell the concept to the C-level, you can get a larger financial support for achieving that goal.
As it turns out, Gartner, Forrester, IDC and others are damn good philosophers.
